We were so fortunate to find a site with 22 acres in the heart of Hickory. This location puts so many of Hickory's amenities at your fingertips. From Abingdon Glen Village's front gate you can connect to sidewalks all over Hickory, enjoy the bike trail, and access public transportation. The best part is you can get to so many services by car without getting onto any main roads. Banks, groceries, hardware, and restaurants can all be accessed from the streets in our surrounding neighborhood.

Lots of very nice communities offer a buy-in package that gives you a lifetime use agreement, but some give little or no money back at the time you no longer need the house. We have had a deed to a home for most of our adult lives. We like the fact that we own our own home at Abingdon Glen and can sell it just like any other piece of real estate at some point in the future.
